            FACTORS TO CONSIDER

            1. Finding a therapist who is right for you.

            Sometimes it can take a few tries before you find a therapist who is a good fit for you. This can be discouraging, but persevering is important. When you have a strong therapeutic relationship with your counselor, your experience will be more positive, successful and effective.  Because your relationship with your therapist is so important, I offer a free 30-minute phone session to help you determine if we are a good fit.

            2. Finding the money.

            In these difficult economic times, finances are tight for many of us. The additional cost of therapy may seem like a sacrifice too big to make. However, consider the cost of not seeking therapy: over-the-counter pain medication or sleeping aids, trips to the doctor's office, prescription medications, and possibly legal fees for separation, divorce, custody disputes, or other matters. And let's not forget about the toll that unaddressed problems can have on our mental and emotional health as well as our relationships with friends and loved ones. As an intern, my services are less expensive than most licensed therapists but still offer the same effective therapy.             3. Finding the time.

            In today's world, life is busy. You may be wondering where you will find the time to fit a therapy session each week into your already crowded schedule. But by choosing to do counseling, what you are really doing is deciding to make your relationships, your personal growth and your happiness a priority. And when your life is on track, finding balance is so much easier! I have a flexible schedule and have appointment availability in the afternoons, evenings and on Saturdays. I will work to accommodate your busy schedule.
